The Regulatory Compliance and Contracts Specialist position is responsible for conducting research on laws and regulations, managing electronic databases,  assisting with auditing, participating  in investigations, conducting risk assessments, and monitoring to identify potential compliance issues across the system.  The specialist also ensures that mandatory compliance education is conducted across the system by conducting new employee training.  The Regulatory Compliance and Contracts Specialist is also charged with all contract management across the health system, including but not limited to document preparation, drafting correspondence, maintaining an inventory of all contracts, preparation of new/amended contracts, and monitoring compliance with contract terms.  A degree in healthcare, business or the paralegal field is required, as is strong database management skills and a strong working knowledge of contract language/requirements.
