Patient Services Representative - Clinical: Emergency Department, Per Diem, Evenings/Nights

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Patient Service Representative to join our team. A Patient Service Representative's responsibilities include various activities related to patient intake, such as greet and check-in patients, verify/update patient demographics, assist patients with filling out consent forms, receive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered. Initiate calls, pages and triage phone calls. Assists in admissions, discharges, transfers and fulfills other customer service or clerical duties. Position benefits are flexible hours and a self-scheduling system allowing to choose preferred schedule.

A Patient Service Representative needs to have strong organizational skills along with the ability to think on their feet when faced with new situations that arise throughout each day within a professional medical environment.

Requirements and skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) • Knowledge of medical terms and practices preferred
  • Ability to work independently

Full time, days/evenings flex (every other weekend)

Location: Main campus, Emergency Department
