Job Summary: This position will manage inventory for Cayuga Health System to include analyzing inventory data, generating reports, presenting analytics and taking action. The goal of this position will include optimizing inventory turns, reorder points, reduction in expired supplies, maximizing storage space and standardizing inventory across the health system.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Inventory Management analyze inventory data, generate reports, present analysis and take action
  • Lead product recall process
  • Sourcing aid purchasing staff with product substitutions, back orders, etc
  • Lead product change process and new products process
  • Lead Vizient DataLynx process
  • Manage reduction of expired items, PAR levels, no and slow moving inventory
  • Manage item master, inventory master and reorder points
  • Inventory management policy review and development
  • Manage product standardization across the health system
  • Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.

Requirements:

Education Bachelors Degree, Three years of Healthcare Purchasing/Inventory management experience may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree

Experience Three years of Purchasing/Inventory management experience, Healthcare preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools ERP Experience, Meditech preferred. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions based on the data. Ability to work with all staff levels within the health system

Physical Requirements Standing, Sitting, Walking, Computer work, may be required to lift and carry light loads
