Purchasing/Inventory Coordinator

Responsible for the procurement of supplies, equipment and services in a timely and cost effective manner that support the day to day operations at Cayuga Health System. Prepares purchase orders, confirms vendor acknowledgement and maintains database integrity through exemptions management.
Works with supplies to ensure timely delivery and expedites purchase orders as required. Manages purchase order exceptions and invoice discrepancies working with third party programs and Accounts Payable. Reviews inventory items to eliminate obsolescence and properly set reorder points.
Proactively communicates with all Cayuga Health System staff as required.
Education/Experience:
- Associates Degree in Business or related field and two or more years of purchasing experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and experience in Healthcare purchasing preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong Organizational skills
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Ability to Source
- Analytical
- Microsoft Office, Outlook email
- Meditech or other MRP experience a plus
- Ability to work on your own and in a team environment
